Many people today have a lack of interest in and concern of God. Be it that this lack of interest comes through someone wanting to be politically correct so that they can supposedly get along with everyone around them or through their own selfish desire so that they can supposedly do what they want to do without any consequences, many people in the world today have great apathy towards God.
Many people today hold that God is imaginary because He does not do what they request when they request it. These people hold that God does not exist and that only in people who are crazy are prayers answered.
Many people today poke fun at and try their best to insult those who believe in the one true God. These people say that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ are uneducated and believe in a book which was written by men who wanted to rule over people.
